Viola S. Cavicchio Lincoln Borucki, 89 years old of New Windsor, NY passed away on Thursday, August 23rd at New Paltz Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. Viola was born on October 21, 1928 in Newburgh and was a lifelong resident of the area. Viola had a strong love for animals and always fought for the prevention of cruelty and abuse towards them her entire life. She had a long career in nursing and was a private in-home nurse for many families. Viola was also involved in local politics and loved cooking large Italian meals for her family. Survivors include her husband, Joseph W. Borucki of New Windsor, NY; her children: Michael Lincoln and companion, Michelle Tomasello of Plattekill, NY, Randall Lincoln of Jensen Beach, FL, Holly Lincoln Gigante of New Windsor, NY, David Lincoln and wife, Peggy of San Clemente, CA; sister, Margaret Bauman of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; her stepsons: Steve Borucki of Sacramento, CA, Joseph W. Borucki III and wife, Teresa of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandchildren: Jodi Whitehead and husband, Shawn, Mickie Merced and husband, Joseph, David Lincoln Jr. and companion, Monica, Allison Fillman and husband, Ronnie, Randilynne Finn and husband, Chris, Eve Lincoln and husband, Jason, Jordan Gigante and companion, Sara, Rachael Gigante and fiance, Jae, Spencer Lincoln, Samantha Marshall and husband, Brent, Dana Lincoln and fiance, Andrew; her step grandchildren: Jennifer Borucki, Laura Borucki and companion, Jessica, Kristen Lilly and husband, William, Thomas Barnes, Sara Barnes; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Kevin Lincoln; sisters, Genevieve Walz, Gloria Lease; and brother, Leonard Cavicchio. Family and friends are invited to visit from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28th at Hudson Valley Funeral Home, 239 Quassaick Avenue, (Rte 94) New Windsor. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29th at the funeral home followed by a graveside burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery and Mausoleum in Newburgh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Viola to Hudson Valley SPCA in New Windsor, NY. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Anthony V.
