Debra "Debbie" S. Seaton  of Newburgh, NY passed peacefully with her family by her side at Montefiore Medical Center after a brief illness, at the age of 52. Born August 14, 1966 in Cochem Mosel, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany to Gerda (Heilandt) Seaton, and adopted by Clarence Seaton Jr., shortly thereafter, who made her life in America possible. Debbie was a 1984 graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, where she proudly served as member of the ROTC, and a 1986 graduate of Spencerian Business Institute. She worked as a Shift Team Leader for Cumberland Farms where she was in training for a Store Management role. Debbie was pre-deceased by her mother, father, and her paternal and maternal grandparents. Debbie will be lovingly remembered by her Surrogate Mother, Alma Bowman of Conyers, GA; her children: Hope Seaton of Newburgh, NY, Bryan Seaton of St. Petersburg, FL, Heather Padilla Seaton of New Windsor, NY and Brittany Padilla Seaton of New Windsor, NY, her devoted god-daughter, Dorice Barnwell of New Windsor, NY; her many other godchildren, her beloved and adored granddaughter, Faith Seaton Ballard; her siblings: Patrick Seaton and his husband, Rudy of Poughkeepsie, NY, David Seaton and his wife, Cherise of Hillside, IL, and Kelli Seaton of Philadelphia PA; her surrogate siblings: Linda Bowman and of Conyers, GA, Adam Bowman Jr. of Monroe, NY and Charles Bowman and wife, Tamiko of Atlanta, GA. Debbie loved God and walked a strong walk with the Lord. While she was raised at Mt. Carmel Church of Christ and lived most of her adult life with Newburgh Assembly of God, she found comfort at Grace Community Church. Debbie was always the first to lend a hand, offer help, and never said no when called on to assist. Debbie loved spending time with her grand-daughter, "Mimi" and loved to travel with family and her dear friends. She was strong, independent, and loved. Debbie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 8 at the Newburgh Campus of Grace Community Church, 128 Old South Plank Road, Newburgh, NY 12550 with a Celebration of Life Service to follow. Memorial Donations in memory of Debbie can be made to GOFUNDME, to help support end of life costs and her children through this difficult time.
