Daniel J. Grove of Newburgh, NY passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.
He was 82 years old. Daniel was born in Patterson, NJ on May 5, 1936. He was the
son of the late John & Julia Kish Grove.
Daniel was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a
Power House Mechanic for Central Hudson, Newburgh, NY. Survivors include his
wife Barbara Horace Grove at home, his son Daniel Grove, Jr. of Wallkill, his
daughters; Barbara Ostrander and her husband John of Gardiner, Debra Nawrocki
and her husband Stan of Kerhonkson, his sister June Maloney of Massachusetts, 4
grandchildren; Paul Ostrander, Daniel J. Grove, III, Hannah Lynn Nawrocki and
Austin Nawrocki. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 13th from
2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro. A
mass of Christian burial will be offered on Friday morning September 14th at
10:30am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Roseton, NY with Father Thomas Dicks
officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan
Counties, Inc. 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550. Funeral arrangements
were entrusted to Carl J. DiDonato, Jr. of the DiDonato Funeral Service, Inc.
