Ivette Lucia Salcedo, 56, of Horseheads, NY and formerly of Newburgh, an Occupational Therapist for the Elmira School District, Elmira, NY entered into rest on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Eleon Health Center in Horseheads, NY. The daughter of Gilberto and Lucilla (Paternina) Salcedo, she was born in Cartagena, Colombia on May 12, 1962. Ivett graduated high school from NFA in 1980, OCCC in 1982 and Syracuse University. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Elmira, NY. In addition to her parents, Ivett is survived by her loving children, Jessica Hogan of Seattle WA and Connor Hogan of Horseheads, NY; a brother, John Salcedo and his wife, Christina of Little Silver, NJ; a sister, Gloria Salcedo of Newburgh; nieces and nephews, John Gilbert Salcedo, Lily Salcedo and Jane Salcedo. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday, September 19 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave. Newburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, September 20, at St. Francis Church, 145 Benkard Ave., Newburgh. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, New Windsor.
