Frank D. Gaspar of Modena, NY died in his home on September 7, 2018 in Kannapolis, NC due to complications following cancer. He was 68. Mr. Gaspar was born July 6, 1950 in Newburgh, NY to his parents, Frank and Mabel Gaspar. Frank battled polycystic kidney disease and successfully had a transplant in 1996. In 2017, he was diagnosed with bladder cancer, which eventually spread throughout his body. He fought courageously without chemotherapy for eleven months. He will be remembered for his huge heart and the love he showed for his family and friends. His passion for classic cars and his superhuman ability to recognize one by a simple detail will forever be unmatched. There will never be a day that goes by where he is not truly missed or remembered. Frank is survived by his mother, Mabel; his two children, Kristin and Kristofer; and his three sisters, Nancy, Sue and Kim. He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Gaspar. A church service will be held at Gardiner Reformed Church on October 6, 2018 at 1 p.m. Following the service, Mr. Gaspar will be laid to rest in a private burial. A celebration of life will follow at Deyo Hall (6 Broadhead Ave. New Paltz, NY) starting at 3:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Frank's life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Frank's Kidney Fund: https://fundraise.kidneyfund.org/fundraiser/ 1660181
