Alan M. Kennedy of Cornwall, NY passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh. He was 78. Alan was born in Newburgh, NY on April 12, 1940. He was the son of the late Leo Kennedy & Helen Rosenblum. Alan was a United States Army Veteran serving between 1961-1964. He was a Licensed Practical Nurse working at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh. He worked for the Mid-Hudson Medical Group in Poughkeepsie and most recently he was a sales clerk for QuickChek in New Windsor where he was known as "grandpa". Alan was an avid New York Yankee fan. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Gleeson Kennedy at home in Cornwall, his son Alan Kennedy and his wife Maura of Indiana, his daughter Beth Ann and her husband Thomas Brown of Massachusetts, his grandsons; Liam Kennedy of Virginia and Kyle Kennedy of Indiana and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4pm-8pm at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro. A mass of Christian burial will be offered on Saturday morning at 10:30am at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, Cornwall. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY.
