Stephen "Steve" V. Gollow - Class of 1964

      Stephen "Steve" V. Gollow of Montgomery, NY, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018, in Newburgh. He was 72. The son of the late John Frank and Marie P. Bloomer Gollow, he was born June 11, 1946 in Newburgh. Steve was a decorated Marine and served his country with the utmost pride. He served during Vietnam War, having attained the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal (First Award), and the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge. He was a member of the American Legion Post 521, Montgomery, Disabled American Veterans Chapter New York 2, VFW Post 2064, Maybrook, and the Association of BellTell Retirees. He worked as a communications industry manager for Lightower Fiber Network in Newburgh. Steve was a loving husband and father and a devoted family man. He was always willing to help those in need. Survivors include his Wife Diane F. Gollow at home, Son Stephen T. Gollow and his wife AnnMarie of Montgomery, NY, Son Christopher J. Gollow of Montgomery, Stepdaughter Lisa De Sena and her husband Christopher of Pine Bush; Grandchildren Amy & Michael De Sena; Sister Faith A. Cosgrove of Marietta, GA; Brother John Frank Gollow III of Newburgh Along with his parents he was predeceased by his first wife Donna J. Tompkins Gollow Visitation will be Monday, October 22, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Overhiser Funeral Home, 78 Union St., 12549. A mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, October 23, 2018, 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul's Catholic, 2800 NY-17K, Middletown, NY 10941. Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery in Montgomery, NY.
