George W. Lewis, passed away on October 15, 2018 peacefully surrounded by
his loving family. George retired from IBM and also founded Ka-Jok Tae kwon do,
and taught for 25 years as a 6th Degree Black Belt. George served in the U.S.
Navy during the Vietnam War and was a retired reservist; beloved husband of
JeanMarie Lewis (nee DePalo); devoted father of George Christopher Lewis and the
late James Michael Lewis and his surviving wife Theresa Lewis; loving
grandfather of Codie Michael, Sierra Corin and Madison Rose Lewis; dear brother
of Helen Arlene Holdiness and husband Ellis, David Lewis and wife Cindy; uncle
of Christie Lynn Presley, Bill and Ken Holdiness. Relatives and friends will
gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham MD 21236, on
Wednesday 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday
10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Church, 8030 Bradshaw Rd., Bradshaw MD 21087.
Interment Maryland Veteran Cemetery-Crownsville, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd.,
Crownsville MD 21032, on Friday at 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions
may be made to Pets on Wheels, P.O. Box 44176, Baltimore MD 21236 or
