Harold G. Rainey of Pine Bush, NY passed away at home on Friday, November 16, 2018. The son of the late Alvie W. and Josephine Rush Rainey, he was born on March 15, 1946 in Newburgh, NY. He was 72 years old. He was a City of Newburgh Firefighter, co-owner of Rainey Beverages and farmed Rain-Belle Farms and Rainey Acres. Harold is survived by his wife, Belle Knapp Rainey at home; sons: Patrick Rainey of Daytona Beach, FL, Jack Pennings his wife, Monica of Warwick and Christopher Pennings and his wife, Monica of Pine Bush; daughters: Kimberly Ann Rainey and her fiance, Louis Bates of Mariaville Lake, NY, Patricia Bates and her husband, Michael of Newburgh, Barbara Rainey and Dave Hopper of Plattekill, and Debra Grant and her husband, Tom of Walden; sister, Cynthia Detz and her husband, Joseph of Gardiner; brother-in-law, Dale Davidson of Pine Bush; grandchildren: Michael, Ashley, Porey, Emily, Abigail, Kaelyn, Cammie, Christopher, Jacob, Jessica and Juliann; several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, November 19th at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20th at the Brick Reformed Church, Rt. 17K, Montgomery, NY. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the City of Newburgh Firemen's Benevolent Assoc., P.O. Box 1513, Newburgh, Ny 12550. I rarely if ever post stuff like this but it's the best way to let so many who loved and knew him know he is now with Angel's. We will follow up with funeral services information shortly for those who are able to make any services. The wake will be held at Gridley Horan in Walden, NY on Monday and Tuesday Funeral services.
