Michael Joseph Costa, a Financial Advisor for Oppenheimer & Company and a life-long area resident, entered into rest on November 23, 2018 at New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center, Manhattan. Michael was the son of the late Joseph and Roberta (Lee) Costa. He was born on December 26, 1947 in Newburgh. Michael was a graduate of Siena College and he was an active member of Newburgh for 70 years. He sat on numerous boards of local organizations. He was a Major in the United States Air Force Auxiliary, also known as, CAP, the Southeastern Group 118 of the New York Wing Civil Air Patrol. A member of the Elks Club, a Board Member of Head Start of Orange County and former President of Family Health Center of Newburgh. Michael's survivors include his wife Barbara (Boullain) Costa; his son, Matthew Costa and his wife, Emily; step-daughters, Kimberly Keil and her husband , Jared, Lindsay Ralph and her husband, Harry and Jaimie Lorenzut and her fiancee, Phil Picard; sister, Patricia Costa; brother, Thomas Costa and his wife, Denise; sister MaryAnn Costa Joy and her husband, James; grandchildren, Justin Costa, Valerie Costa, Allison Keil, Dylan Keil , Alex Keil, Tyler Ralph and Jeremy Ralph; nieces and nephews, Alex Costa, Zach Costa, Leslie Joy, Christine Joy and Joseph Joy. Visitation will be held from 1-3 and 5-8 pm on Tuesday, November 27 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave. Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, November 28 at Sacred Heart Church, 301 Ann St., Newburgh. Replies to this post |
