Leonard Kahn, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly a longtime area resident, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018. He was 96. Son of the late Morris and Ester (Lustig) Kahn he was born on March 7, 1922 in Wallkill, NY. A member of Temple Beth Jacob, Leonard was the retired owner of CarLen Developers, Inc. in Newburgh. He proudly served his country with the US Army Air Corp. during World War II. Survivors include two sons, Everett Pickett of Atlanta, GA and Paul Kahn of Newburgh; one daughter, Beth Herman of Dunedin, FL and three grandchildren: Blake Pickett, Chase Pickett and Moses Kahn. For the past 16 years Leonard received the best care and companionship from our Dear Julie Berry. Leonard was predeceased by his wife, Betty Terpenning in 2000, and a brother, Carl Kahn. A Funeral Service will take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh.
