Edward P. Rightmeyer of New Windsor, NY passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 60 years old. He was the son of the late Edward F. Rightmeyer and Genevieve Waltz. He married the love of his life, Heidi in 1990. Together they had two children, Alexandra, now 27 and Shane, now 23. His beloved dog Koa, never left his side. Ed was a devoted husband and father and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his wife and children. Ed graduated from NFA where he played on the football, baseball and basketball teams. He worked as a sales representative for marketing firm Johnson O'Hare. He spent his free time doing his favorite things: riding his bike, yoga, coaching his son's sports teams, and watching his daughter's theater shows. He loved music, a life long fan of Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes whom he saw over 100 times. Ed and his childhood friend Dennis Scarry never missed a New York Yankees Opening Day. He loved spending time with his brother Fran, who admired his whole life. He will be remembered for his radiant smile that lit up every room he entered. A private Mass honoring Ed's life was held on Saturday at St. Francis Church in Newburgh officiated by Father John Vandrass. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Anthony V. Cracolici of Hudson Valley Funeral Home Inc.
