  Dorothy "Dottie" Lucy Grant McKoy, 61, of Newburgh, New York, passed away on January 4, 2019 at Vassar Bothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY. Dorothy was born in St. Luke's Hospital, Newburgh, New York on June 20, 1957. She attended Newburgh Free Academy and continued on to Secretarial School. She applied her skills and experience by working for Chester Cable and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Dorothy was married to the love of her life, Thermon E. McKoy on November 10, 1979, they lived and loved each other unconditionally a total of 39 years. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Thermon E. McKoy; siblings, Barbara Johna, Fredrick Grant and Roselind Gray Grant; in-laws, Thermon McKoy and Helen McKoy, brother-in-law, Cornelius Ray McKoy; aunt, Ellaree Lavant; uncle, Eartha Grant; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Smith and Bertha Grant; grand parents, Edom and Emily Walker Grant; grandparents, Edom and Emily Walker (Grant); brothers, Kevin Grant and Charles Smith; aunts, Mary Lee Haynes, Justine Murdaugh, Clara Johns and Pearl Bailey.
