George Joseph Mueller Jr, age 79 of Millsboro, DE, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes. He was born on July 4, 1939 in Bronx, NY, son of the late George J. His patriotism continued throughout his life as a member of the American Legion Post 28. Mr. Mueller was the Vice President of Sales for the Tarkett company, retiring in 2003 after 42 dedicated years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mueller was preceded in death by his first wife, Caroline D. Mueller, in 1998. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Karen C. Mueller of Millsboro, DE; his sons: Andrew Mueller (Karen) of Cummings, GA and William Mueller (Sheila) of Dumfries, VA; his daughters: Laura McKercher (Tom) of Johnson City, NY and Kathleen Banach (John) of Plantation, FL; his grandchildren: Dylan, Kiara, Ryan, Jake, Kelly, Sophia, Matthew, Luca, Matteo, Grace, and Justin; and his brothers: Robert Mueller (Ellen) of Ormond Beach, FL, Dennis Mueller (Gladys) of Erie, CO, and Tom Mueller (Mary) of Newburgh, NY. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at American Legion Post 28, 31768 Legion Road, Millsboro, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Mr. Mueller's memory to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047, or www.lbda.org/donate.
