Virgen M. Estela, of Avondale, AZ, formerly of Newburgh, entered into rest on Saturday, May 10, 2008. She was 25. Daughter of Julio and Gloria Rivera Estela, she was born June 19, 1982 in Newburgh. "To our loving mother, daughter and sister: You were an angel to us and now you are truly an angel in God's hands. We love you and we'll miss you dearly." Virgen was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy where she was a member of the National Junior Honor Society. She had her CDL - Class A with doubles, Hazmat and Tankers. She also had a degree in Medical Transcription. In addition to her loving parents, she is survived by her loving children, Israel and Adrian Camacho of Newburgh, and Jevon and Makala Porter of Avondale, AZ; brothers and sisters, Maritza Arzola of Pennsylvania, Blanca Rivera of Alabama, Carmen Rivera of Brooklyn, Carmelo Rivera of Poughkeepsie, Julia Anderson of Massachusetts, Juan C. Estela and Carlos J. Estela of New Windsor, Jose Estela of North Carolina, Justino Estela of Newburgh, Hector Estela of North Carolina, Julio Estela Jr. of Albany, and Juan W. Estela of Virginia; 37 nieces and nephews, 13 great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Diana E. Rivera. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 16, at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. The family will gather at the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, for procession to Cedar Hill Cemetery for a graveside service at 10 a.m. Donations to Virgen's family will be greatly appreciated.
