Emeline Cornell Clark - Class of 1926

  Emeline Georgiana Cornell Clark of Newburgh, entered into rest on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Mountainside Residential Care Center, Margaretville, N.Y. She was 99. Daughter of the late George and Mary Ellen O'Mahoney Cornell, she was born April 28, 1908 in Newburgh, N.Y. She was married to William B. Clark who predeceased her on August 4, 1993. Emeline was a lifetime parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Newburgh, and a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy. She is survived by her loving son, William B. Clark and his wife, Sally of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; grandchildren: Christopher Clark, David Clark, Emily Smith and Julie Odato; great-grandchildren: Christopher and Brendan Smith, Lauren and Lani Odato, Stephanie and Andrew Cross; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her twin sister, May Cornell, and sisters, Anne Haley, Helen Mitchell. Visitation will be held from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. on Monday, July 2, at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Newburgh. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
