Ruth E. Woolsey Clark, of Newburgh, died peacefully on January 5, 2004 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. She was 80. Born on February 18, 1924 in Newburgh, to the late William and Catherine Todd Woolsey. Ruth graduated Newburgh Free Academy and was a member of the National Honor Society. On October 15, 1950, she married William Clark in Grace United Methodist Church in Newburgh. She was a secretary for the Newburgh School District, retiring in 1997 with 46 years of service. Ruth was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her children, Thomas and his wife Nancy Clark of Woodbridge, Va. and Janet Wolff and her companion Michael Toscano of Walden; grandchildren, Evan Toscano, Michael William Toscano and Christina and her husband Thomas Shirk; one great-grandchild, Devin; one niece, Carol Cummings; and one nephew, Stephen Markuson. She was predeceased by her husband William in 1993 and a sister, Mildred Markuson; her grandson, Michael William Toscano. The family will be present to receive friends on Sunday, January 9 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Coloni Funeral Home, 3001 Route 9W, New Windsor. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Lori Miller will officiate. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
