Louis J. "Louie" Frangello, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Elant at Newburgh. He was 88. Son of the late Michael and Josephine Ortale Frangello, he was born December 12, 1918 in Newburgh. He married Gloria Frangello on November 26, 1950 in Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. He graduated from Newburgh Free Academy and was a retired toll collector for the NYS Bridge Authority. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh and a member of the Pastime Club. "A loving family man, Louie will be missed by everyone." In addition to his loving wife of 57 years, Gloria, he is survived by: his sister, Sylvia Decker; brother-in-law, Angelo Cavallo; sisters-in-law: Marguerite Cavallo, Jeanne Delarede and Jeanne Frangello; 14 nieces and nephews and 21 great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers: Arthur, Thomas, Eugene and Albert Frangello; sister, Laurie Delamarco; brothers-in-law, John Delarede and Clayton Decker; sisters-in-law: Bernie, Beatrice and Frances Frangello; nephews, Michael Delarede and Michael Frangello; niece Gloria Delarede; and cousin, Julie Marullo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday December 7 at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
