John G. Crawford of the Town of Newburgh entered into rest unexpectedly,
Wednesday, November 6, 2019. He was 70. The son of Joan (Anderson) Crawford and
the late Adrian Crawford, he was born October 18, 1949 in Newburgh. John retired
from Yellow Freight (YRC) December 2, 2015, was the owner of New England
Builders from 1981- 1990 and worked for Mehlon Trucking. He was a member of
Leptondale Gun Club and Teamsters Local #707. John proudly served our country in
the United States Army Reserves. In addition to his mother Joan Crawford, John
is survived by his loving wife, Carol A. (Smith) Crawford at home, his sons: Jon
Crawford (Gabrielle) of New York City, Michael Crawford (Dina) of Montgomery;
sisters: Adrienne Crawford of the Town of Newburgh, Lynn Crawford Travis of
Durham, North Carolina, grandson, Alexander Jon Crawford; as well as many
nieces, nephews and cousins. Celebration of Life will take place Wednesday,
November 13th from 4 to 8 pm at White, Venuto & Morrill Funeral and Cremation
Service, 188 North Plank Rd. (Route 32), Town of Newburgh. In lieu of flowers
please make donations in John's memory to American Heart Association, Heart
