Eugene "Chip" R. Hamilton, a lifelong resident of Newburgh, entered into rest on
Thursday, December 26, 2019 at his residence. He was 75. The son of the late
Erven and Marion (Sinton) Hamilton, he was born on November 18, 1944 in
Newburgh, NY. Chip as he was known to family and friends, worked for Frye
Manufacturing Company in New Windsor, retiring as a machinist after many years
of service. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard of New York
from 1967 to 1971. The youngest of seven children he is survived by a sister
Shirley Mushe of OH; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his
parents he was predeceased by his wife Dolores in 2018; two brothers, Erven and
Richard; and three sisters, Lorraine, Thelma and Sally. A private cremation has
taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory. Following Chip's wishes all funeral
services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made in Chip's name, to
