Sally Clinton - Teaching Assistant

Sally Clinton, 79, a retired Teaching Assistant at Newburgh Free Academy and a long-time area resident entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 29, 2019. The daughter of the late Salvatore and Antoinette (Burti) Catania, Sally was born on October 30, 1940 in Manhattan. Sally was a graduate of Central Commercial High School where she studied Stenography and Bookkeeping. She married her beloved Frank Clinton who predeceased her. Sally was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Newburgh. We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beautiful and sweet Mother. She will be missed by so, so many. Her life journey ended peacefully in her home. She touched so many, many lives. Sally is survived by her children, JoAnn Clinton of Arizona and Newburgh, NY, Paul Clinton of Hampton Bays, NY and Frank Clinton, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren, James Salvatore Clinton, Christopher Paul Clinton, Kira & Sophia Bychkov, Ashley Lyn Clinton and Ashley Lyn Clinton; great-grandchildren, Storm Lyn Sanchez and Moon Lyn Sanchez; her brother, Vincent Catania of Myrtle Beach, SC; Nephews, Vinnie Catania, Michael Catania and Tom Catania. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 4 from 2-4, 6-8pm at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 7:30 pm. A final viewing for Sally will be held at 11 am on Sunday, January 5, 2019 at Brooks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Sally's memory may be made to Easterseals, 233 South Wacker Drive, Suite 2400 Chicago, IL 60606.
