Edward Hall - Class of 1959

    Edward Ezekie (Zeke) Hall, Sr. age 78 of Newburgh, NY, entered into rest on Friday, January 31, 2020. He was born to the late Reverend Edward D. Hall and Mamie Ware Hall in West Memphis, Arkansas on October 19, 1941. Edward, who was affectionately called Zeke, attended Montgomery St. Elementary School, North Jr. High School, and Newburgh Free Academy. Edward retired from Modern Vending Company after 30 years of service as a vending machine technician. He was a lifelong member of Best Temple C.O.G.I.C. Zeke was an armed service Veteran in the U.S. Army where he received an honorable discharge. Zeke was an avid sports fan of baseball, football, basketball, boxing and hockey. He was a member of the Road Runner Softball team. Edward leaves to mourn his passing, celebrate his life, and cherish his loving memory, his three children: Lynn Bivens of Oakland, CA, Edward E. Hall, Jr. of Newburgh, NY and Delvina Harper of Fayetteville, NC. Also surviving are his three siblings: Charles, Joseph (Cecelia), and Geneva, all of Newburgh, NY; a special loving aunt, Mother Eddie B. Best of Newburgh, NY; a special niece/daughter Tara (Daniel) Garner of Newburgh, NY; several grand and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends, and a special friend David Price of Newburgh, NY. Edward was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters, Sunny, Virgil, James, Robert, Thomas, Lillie, Leverdia, Dorothy and Arneva. Edward Ezekiel Hall, Sr. will be greatly missed by family and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, February 10, 2020 from 10 am-12 pm at Best Temple Church of God in Christ, 111 South St., Newburgh. A Funeral Service will follow at 12 pm. Burial will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh. - October 19, 1941 ~ January 31, 2020
