  Mary (Molly) J. Rogers Mulligan 91 died on October 9, 2016 after a long illness. Molly was born, raised, and lived her entire life in Newburgh. She was the daughter of the late Raymond P. Rogers Sr. and Mary (Estabrook) Rogers. She was the sister of the (late) Raymond P. Rogers Jr., Kathleen Newcombe, (late) Eileen Donlan, Colleen Gibson, (late) Susan Jane Rogers, Frances Rogers and Margaret Eggleston. Molly was the mother of Mary Jane and Robert Binsky, Linda and (late) Richard Laughlin, Madeleine and (late) John McGowan, Edward and Pamela Mulligan, Timothy and Deborah Mulligan, Noreine and John Struzzieri, Michael Mulligan and partner Laurence Yang, Shawn and Tracy Mulligan, Michele Mulligan-Hansen and partner John Panek. Molly was the much beloved grandmother of Kevin&Vera Bradley, Terina&Harry Hensley, Jason&Ieshia Bradley, Richard Binsky, Angela&Trey Brown, Kristy&Jason Dixon, Courtney&Chris Pieper, Katie&Michael Huha, (late)Matthew Mulligan, Abigail&Michael Keane, Timothy&Candice Mulligan, Melissa Variano-Ashworth, John Struzzieri Jr., Jeffrey Struzzieri, Jill&Seth Harman, Jeanette Struzzieri, Amber&Pete Rosario, Shawn&Kristin Mulligan, Summer Mulligan, Brandine Polenski, Stephen&Johnnieanne Hansen, Chelsea Hansen and partner Tim Griffin. Molly was also the cherished Great-Grandmother of (35) Savannah, Kailan, Kaden, Caitlyn, Taylor, McKenna, Kiya, Stefan, Arianna, Xavier, Oliver, Declan, Kyle, Kayla, Michael, Skylar, Finnegan, Eamon, Emily, Bryce, Gradyn, Siara, Michaela, Nicholas, Jaden, Bishop, Deacon, Devon, Cole, MacKenzie, Timothy, Milian, Peter J., McKenna, Tanner. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Molly was a life long parishioner of St. Patrick's Church in Newburgh. She graduated from St. Patrick's Elementary School and Newburgh Free Academy Class of 1940. Molly began her work career at Woolworth's. After raising her children, she went to work at Fishman's. She then went to work as a teacher for the Newburgh Day Nursery for almost 20 years until her retirement. Molly not only raised her own nine children, but she touched the lives of hundreds of children in her work. Molly enjoyed roller-skating and ice-skating. Molly also enjoyed traveling with friends and family members. She was thrilled with her three visits to Ireland. She was a member of the Newburgh Senior Citizens Club for many years. She was a seamstress, knitter, crocheter, quilter and baker. A knitted hat or pair of mittens with the tag "made by Grandma Molly" was a treasured gift. She always enjoyed a good book. Molly could be found as a spectator at her children's sporting events, first communions, dance recitals, academic competitions, plays, parades, etc. She continued her presence at these events for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Friday, October 14 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Saturday, October 15 at St. Patrick's Church, Newburgh, with burial following in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
