Nathaniel Davis, 27, a Merchandise Handler for McKesson Pharmaceuticals, entered into rest on Thursday, April 2, 2020. The son of Corey and Deanna (Davis) McFarlane and stepfather Michael Morgan, he was born in Newburgh. Nathaniel was a 2011 graduate of Newburgh Free Academy and pursued a Bachelor's Degree at Alderson Broaddus. Nate was a devoted son, fiance, stepfather and grandson. He loved to play sports and was an All American Athlete. Nate was the Captain of the Newburgh Free Academy Football Team and Co-Captain of the Wrestling Team. Nate was selfless and humble. At times we called him the "family therapist" because everyone loved talking to him, and we would always reach out to him to vent and tell him what we were going through. He would always say something positive to make us smile. We knew him as Deondre, but most of you knew him as Nate Davis or Nate 57. He had a huge heart, and you would never know when he was down or hurt because he would never show it. Nate loved to work out to keep his body healthy and strong, and play video games in his leisure time. Nate also loved experimenting with home remedies and putting together alkalized based meals. Nate was loved by all of his teammates. His smile brightened every dark room. Nate loved his family with his whole heart and more. Life will never be the same without you. We love you! In additions to his parents and his fiance Monahja Rich, Nate is survived by his stepdaughter Janiyah Melvin; sisters, Kwaija McFarlane of Newburgh and Nakema McFarlane of Maryland; two brothers, Liam McFarlane and Isaiah McFarlane, both of Maryland; loving grandparents, Geraldine Davis, James Lee, Ronald Robinson and Sandra Moore, all of Newburgh; aunts, Cindy Warren and Jackie Herbin; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and his godmothers. Due to the coronavirus occurrence services will be private, with a memorial service at a later date.
