Oscar "La Muneca" Aguilar Herrera, of Newburgh, NY passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020. He was 51 years old. He is the son of Crensencio Aguilar and Edith Herrera. He was born in La Noria Hidalgo, Puebla Mexico on February 14, 1970. Oscar was a parishioner of St. Patrick's Church and a member of LaFundacion Noria. He attended North Junior High and received his high school diploma from Newburgh Free Academy. Oscar was a profound chef at West Point Military Academy and a drummer in a local band. Friends and family will always remember Oscar. Famously known for his barbecue ribs, pernil & overall exquisite recipes. He was generous, he wanted the whole world to know his name and talent for cooking. He cooked Not only for family not only for friends but even for bystanders in his neighborhood located in "The Heights". He would greet and was greeted by everyone in his neighborhood, and always lent a helping hand. His infamous playlist will forever be our favorite. Ranging from genres like Banda, Corridos, Nortenas, Bachata, Romanticas, Urban and even Rap. He could make anyone laugh with his hilarious dance moves, jokes & stories. He got straight to the point & was indeed bold. He told it how it was and for that he earned respect from many. He took his dreams to his grandparents' homeland & built his dream home for his children to visit often. For every accomplishment that he made he was proud & humble.
