I met Johnnie by chance in the late 70's. He was waiting for his liquor license for O'Mara's and asked me to work at Kane's until the license came in.O'Mara's Tavern opened, it was a success due to Johnnie's warm, friendly personality. O'Mara's became my family to everyone who stayed. He made a bar a home to so many. Everyone was welcome. So many friendships, too many to mention. This was all due to Johnnie and his 5 yr plan. He married Mary and had a family.I have never seen two people so well suited. We all laughed shared tears together as families do.From my perspective our little town was left better for his contribution to it. I will miss him. I know I am not alone, many will. God bless you Johnnie and thank you. Blessing to Mary and the girls.
