Frederick Johnston Jr - Class of 1969

  Fred Julius Johnston Jr. was a Son, Brother. Father, Uncle, Granddad, Cousin and friend. Known as the gentle giant of the Johnston family, because of his stature and calming demeanor. He was born and raised in Newburgh, NY. He attended Newburgh schools, graduated from Newburgh Free Academy. Fred became the first African American licensed plumber in Newburgh NY and a Member of the Local plumbers union. He married Peggy Peterson and of their Marriage yielded 3 children. He was presided in death by Father Frederick J Johnston Sr. and Sister Elaine Johnston Spell. Fred loved Camping, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He holds a "special"  place in all of our hearts forever.
