George "Chilly" Bowen, age 87, born July 17, 1933 passed away on July 23, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, NY. George was a member of the United States Army and a veteran of the Korean War. A life long resident of Newburgh, George is survived by his wife Kathleen Decrosta-Bowen and his seven children, Melinda, George and wife Teri-Anne, Sean, Meghan and husband Joel Fuentes, Shannon and partner Robert Peffers, Erin, and Jaime and partner William Guzman, grand-children Matthew and wife Stephanie, Christian, Nicholas, Joshua, Adam, Alaina, Xavier, Jonah, Elijah, Benjamin, and honorary grandchildren Hunter and Daisy, and great-grandchildren Landon and Ella. He is also survived by various nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his parents George Bowen and Elsie Smith-Bowen, and by his seven brothers and sisters, Hazel, Mary, Barbara, June, Bernard, Charles and Alfred. A private service with be held by the family at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen, NY as per the deceased's request and due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
