Gail Phylis Klinegardner English - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Palestine United Methodist Church, Morrisdale RD, for Gail Phylis Klinegardner English, 56, of Pinchy, Morrisdale RD, who died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at 1:13 ยง.m. at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital campus. The Rev. Barbara Katzel-Rowe will officiate. Interment will be at Palestine United Methodist Cemetery, Morrisdale. Friends will be received from 6-9 p.m. tomorrow at Strange and Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale. Born May 5, 1949, at Walton, N.Y., she was a daughter of George and Mavis (McUmber) Klinegardner. Mrs. English was a member of Palestine United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Newburgh Academy School, Newburgh, N.Y. Mrs. English was a homemaker and had worked as a teacher's aide at Philipsburg Elementary School. She is survived by her husband, Edward English; a son, Eugene C. Eck and his companion, Melinda Fink-Gruteke, of Spring City; two stepdaughters, Melissa Yarnell of Bellefonte and Lizabeth Guenot of Snow Shoe; two stepsons, Brian English of Moshannon and Michael English of Phoenixville. Also surviving are three sisters, Stella Martin and her husband, William, of Walton, Kathleen Basile and her husband, James, of Bratalboro, Vt., and Janet Portz of Roscoe, N.Y.; and two brothers, Harvey Klinegardner and his wife, Ginger, of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Tracy Sprague and his wife, Kaleen, of Lawrenceville, Ga. Mrs. English was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Millard Klinegardner. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Palestine United Methodist Church, in care of Paul Carr, 856 Big Run Road, Morrisdale, PA 16858.
