Klaus Erik Theodor Siebert passed away Friday, October 9, 2020 in Pittsford - at age 73. Born in Germany, his family emigrated when he was 5, settling in Newburgh, New York. In high school, he was recruited by a dozen schools to play football, ultimately choosing Hamilton College. He captained the squad, played both ways, and graduated in 1969. Upon graduation, he joined the US Marine Corps, serving as an officer for 4 years. This experience would prove to have a profound effect upon his life. While stationed at Quantico, Klaus met his future wife, Dale Broughton; after earning his MBA at Rutgers, they moved to Rochester. Klaus was a practicing CPA and entrepreneur. Klaus loved his family, his faith and his country. He pulled no punches, spoke his mind and fought health challenges head on. Known for his faux-gruff exterior and gregarious spirit, he loved a road trip of any kind. He loved a day at the beach and never failed to jump in, regardless of the temperature. Klaus had an incredible work ethic, but knew how to have fun, especially on the golf course. Klaus was predeceased by his parents, Harro and Karin; his sister, Maiken Naylor and his brother, Hank. His brother, Hans, survives him. Left to mourn him are his devoted wife, Dale; sons, David and Erik (Jessica) and cherished grandchildren, Sophia and Theodore. Klaus' Funeral Mass will be Saturday, October 24th at 10 AM at St. Louis Church, 64 S. Main Street, Pittsford. Due to current restrictions, St. Louis Church respectfully requests that all in attendance wear a mask and maintain the required social distancing when seated in the church.
