William Birdsall a/k/a Bill, daddy, gramp, great grandpa, brother in-law, uncle, cousin, Buff, Path Finder and many other nicknames passed away peacefully on Friday December 11, 2020. Although we are all heartbroken, we also know this is what he wanted and he is no longer in pain. He married Vera Wilson on June 14, 1958. Together they raised 4 children - Jeff, Cindy, Terri, and Michael in Wallkill NY. Bill was a grandfather to 8 grandchildren and a great grandfather to 6 great grandchildren. He retired from The Virtis Company and moved to Spring Hill Fl. But his true home was in Paradox NY where they spent their summers. Bill loved his home in the Adirondacks. He took great pride in it and we created many family memories there. Bill was a true Patriot. He served in the Army and was a member of The American Legion. He raised the Flag every morning and lowered it every evening. He also loved nostalgia- owning 2 classic cars, jukeboxes, and pinball machines. He loved music- and listened to whatever anyone was playing. He was stubborn - damn stubborn- he believed in what he believed in and no one was going to change that. We will miss him but he will live on in our hearts and memories. Bill wanted to be cremated and chose not to have a service. At a later date we will spread his ashes on the lake and trails that he enjoyed. - Bill Birdsall - NFA Class of 1957
