Bernice Newsome Earley died at her son Bruce's home in Middlehope, NY, with her family by her side. The daughter of the late Helen and Bernard Newsome, she was born in Newburgh. She was married to the late Charles W. Earley, and was the sister of the late Frank Gibbons. Our mother's greatest enjoyments in life were simple pleasures which were her family and her home. She was so in love with her husband Charlie and the life they built together with their sons and their families. Much of her time was watching the myriad of birds landing on the feeders and birdbaths. When it was time to get away, a beach retreat with the family always brought her pleasure. What truly brought Bernice joy was quiet time on the couch reading a good book. Nothing was more important to her than family and listening to the stories her great grandchildren would tell her about the daily happenings in their lives. We truly lost the heart of our family and the world lost a gentle soul. Left to cherish her memory are sons Wayne and his wife, Stephanie and Bruce and his wife, Mary, both of Middlehope; her grandchildren: Bruce Earley Jr. and his wife, Danielle of Lebanon, TN, David Earley and his wife, Meghan of Mooresville, NC, Christine Cunningham of Clifton Park, NY and Scott Earley of Middlehope; great-grandchildren: Matthew Earley, Alexis Lopez, Emma Earley, Hudson Earley, Lilly Earley, Riley Earley, Mason Earley, and Caleb Cunningham. In addition to her husband, Charles Earley, she was predeceased by her parents Bernard and Helen Newsome and her brother Frank Gibbons. - December 7, 1932 ~ January 2, 2020
