Jerald Ellick - Class of 1958

    Jerald Ellick, an educator and lifelong resident of New Windsor, NY passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 in Newburgh, NY surrounded by his loving family. He is the son of the late Sanford Alfred Ellick and Rose Ellick and was born on February 5, 1940 in Cornwall, NY. Jerald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, educator and friend. He had a zest for life, yearned for knowledge, and had a unique outlook on life. He is survived by his wife, Dorah Ellick; his five children: Charles Jay Ellick, Jason Ellick, Mark Ellick, Sharon Ellick, Michael Ellick; and his four grandchildren: Joshua Ellick, Koby Ellick, Isaac Ellick, and Oliver Ellick. A statement from his family reads, "We love you Dad. You loved us all in your own special and unique way and we will live on and prosper with the lessons you have taught us. Thank you for everything. Your zest for life lives on through us and we will always be with each other in this life and the next." A traditional Jewish ceremony will be held on Tuesday, January 5th at Temple Beth Jacob Cemetery at 1 p.m. located at 179 Carter Street, Newburgh, NY 12550. - February 5, 1940 - January 3, 2021 - To Plant Memorial Trees in memory, please visit our Sympathy Store.
