Bonnie Barnett McIntyre - Class of 1968

Bonnie J.
Barnett McIntyre, of Highland, NY entered into rest on Monday, January 18,
2021. She was 70. Daughter of the late George and Jean (Goemann) Barnett, she
was born on May 20, 1950 in Newburgh, NY. A lifelong area resident, Bonnie was a
retired Service Clerk for the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY.
She loved and cherished her children and her cat, Peanut. Bonnie was a fan of
ice cream and enjoyed her weekly outings with the “lunch bunch”. Bonnie was
loved by many throughout her life. Her smile and quick wit will be remembered by
the many lives she touched. She loved her friends and family, and everyone she
met became family, Survivors include a son, Scott Denniston and his wife
Thomasina of New Windsor; a daughter, Courtney Griffin and her husband Michael
of Highland; two brothers, Bill Barnett and his wife Linda of Newburgh and Bruce
Barnett and his wife Pam of Wappingers Falls; one sister, Lois Brundage and her
husband Harry of Schroon Lake, NY; one grandson on the way; a God daughter,
Susan Brundage and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents,
Bonnie was predeceased by a brother, Gary Barnett. Visitation will take place
4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, January 22, 2021 at White, Venuto and Morrill
Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY 12550. A Funeral
Service will follow at 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeffery Hooker
officiating. Private interment will take place in the family plot at Woodlawn
Cemetery, New Windsor, NY. Due to the continued public health concerns, please
know that there is an occupancy limitation which may cause a wait time, please
be respectful of your time visiting. Facial covering must be worn in the funeral
home at all times, and social distancing must be practiced. In lieu of flowers,

Gary R. Sr. Class of 1970 formerly of Newburgh, NY, passed away on November 24,
2009 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was 57 years old.
He was the son of the late George and Jean Goemann Barnett. He is survived by
one son, Gary Jr.; two brothers, G. Wm. (Linda) Barnett of Newburgh and Bruce
(Pamela) Barnett of Wappingers Falls; two sisters, Bonnie McIntyre of Highland
Falls and Lois (Harry) Brundage of Schroon Lake, NY. He is also survived by
several nieces and nephews. An Irish wake was held in Gary's honor in Myrtle
Beach, SC on November 27, 2009

Barnett, Class of 1944 of Murrells Inlet, S.C., formerly of Newburgh, passed
away peacefully on Monday, July 16, 2007 in Murrells Inlet, S.C. Daughter of the
late William and Elizabeth Hungerford Goemann, she was born October 11, 1926 in
Newburgh. She was the widow of George H. Barnett. Jean was a member of Surfside
United Methodist Church, Surfside Beach, S.C. and Senior Friends, Myrtle Beach,
S.C.; a past member of the Goodwill Fire Dept. Auxilary, New Windsor American
Legion Auxilary and the Cornwall Hospital Auxilary. She is survived by her
loving children, G. William Barnett and his wife, Linda of the Town of Newburgh,
Gary Barnett of Murrells Inlet, S.C., Bruce Barnett and his wife, Pamela of
Wappingers Falls, Lois Brundage and her husband, Harry of Schroon lake, N.Y.,
and Bonnie McIntyre of Highland Falls; grandchildren, Susan Brundage and her
companion, Brian Potter, Michael Brundage and his companion, Kristie Steves,
Wendy Byrne and her husband, Sean, Tammy Larsen and her husband, Steven, George
Barnett and his wife, Anna, Scott Denniston and his companion, Thomasina Bello,
Courtney Denniston, Gary Barnett Jr., Christopher Barnett and his wife, Kirsten,
Maicahel Santivenere and his wife, Michelle, Steven Santivenere and his wife,
Wendy; 11 great-grandchildren and several cousins. Visitation will be held from
4-7 p.m. on Monday, July 23 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A
funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Cremation will take place at Cedar
Hill Crematory, Newburgh. Interment of cremains will be in Woodlawn Cemetery,
New Windsor. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to,
