David R. Griffin, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Friday, January 22, 2021 due to complications of COVID-19. He was 69. Son of the late Ralph S Griffin, Jr. and Mary A. (Stagg), he was born on February 7, 1951, in Newburgh, NY. David was a retired owner operator of Van Buren Company. He was an avid boater and outdoorsman and was a member of the Cornwall Yacht Club and Past Commodore of the Newburgh Yacht Club. David was also a member of Wallkill Rod and Gun Club, the Orange Lake Rod and Gun Club and a past member of the Bethlehem Rod and Gun Club. He also traveled extensively through Germany, France, England and Mexico. David leaves behind, his wife, Lynn Longendyke; three sons, Matthew David Griffin of Newburgh, Joshua Daniel Griffin of Plattsburgh, NY and Adam George Griffin of Newburgh; a brother Terry Griffin and his wife Gloria of NM; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. All Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
