Richard Alvin Whitaker - I am writing with a heavy heart. I lost my youngest son yesterday, Richard, 6/23/72 - 1/23/21, 48 years old. He lost his battle with Congestive Heart Failure and Diabetes. He had 5 bypasses on 2/13/20 and had many ups and downs, but lost the will to keep up the fight. We put one of his Dallas Cowboy hats on him before he passed so he can show his Dad. I asked him to give his Dad a big hug and all his grandparents for me! He is no longer in pain so he can have a great life in the hereafter. I LOVE him dearly and will miss him everyday. I want to thank the DeLand Hospital ICU for their excellent care and Hospice for their personal one on one care for Richard and as well as their comfort touch for Dave and I.
