LaGrange, New York - Elsie M. Baker, 76, of LaGrange, NY passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Wingate @ Ulster. Born in Callas, Maine on January 21, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Elliott and Winifred Paskins Hatt. She married James "Ron" R. Baker on June 18, 1966 in Newburgh, NY and he survives her at home. Elsie had worked as a bank teller for the Bank of Newburgh and Chase Bank. She was a member of the Freedom Plains Presbyterian Church and she enjoyed crafting and knitting. In addition to her husband, Ron, Elsie is survived by her daughter Sharyn M. North (Vrelin) of LaGrange and her grandchildren Sarah and David North. Also surviving is her brother John Speidel of FL and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 11:00am-1:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Prayer Service will be held at 12:30pm, during visitation and burial will be private and at the convenience of the Family.
