John Doyle, 86,
of Red Hook, NY entered into rest on February 16, 2021. The son of the late Charles and Maude (Talmadge) Doyle, he was born in Newburgh, NY. Jack was a 1952 graduate Newburgh Free Academy where he was a member of the National Honor Society, as well as R.P.I., earning his Civil Engineering degree. He was a licensed Civil Engineer and worked for the NYS DOT where he was in charge of large highway construction projects, his most prominent being in charge of the foundation contracts for the second Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. Jack was a member of several organizations, serving on the City of Newburgh Zoning Board of Appeals; a member and former president of Newburgh Jaycees; member of Newburgh Area Industrial Development organization, which was instrumental in bringing new industry to Orange County; served as president of NFA Football Boosters Club; and director of Newburgh area Pop Warner Association. Jack was an avid bowler and a current member of St. John's Reformed Church in Red Hook. He is survived by his wife, Alexia Doyle, whom he married on November 25, 2000 at St. John's Reformed Church; his children, Kathleen Parisi of Newburgh, Kevin Doyle (Chris) of Walden and John Doyle (Nance) of Mahwah; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Parisi, Kayla Petersen, Ricci Parisi, Mary Delarosa, and James, Annie, Abigail and William Doyle; and three great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Harper Petersen and Felix Delarosa. He was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley (McCurry) Doyle in 1999. Visitation will be held from 3-6 pm on Monday, February 22 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial following in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
