Zellee Patricia Hubbard-Franklin, 62, Formerly of Newburgh, NY, passed from this life to claim her eternal reward on March 1, 2021 with her daughter at her side. Named after her beloved, paternal grandmother, Zellee was born on October 11, 1958 to the late Pastor Herman Hubbard and Ruby Sims Stephens (late Alfred) in Newburgh, NY. Zellee attended and graduated from Newburgh Free Academy, and she studied history and political science at D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY. With an acute skill with numbers and contracts, she became a bookkeeper and tax preparer, helping her clients wade through the tricky waters of IRS audits and other challenges. In 1973, Zellee met and fell in love with Johnnie V. Herring, and the two welcomed their cherished daughter and only child, TeNeathia, into the world in November of the following year. Johnnie and Zellee remained best friends, a source of loving support, and true confidants until her passing. They often spent hours just talking, joking, and having Bible study with one another. A devoted mother, she worked hard to expose her daughter to the diversity of life at an early age. They shared afternoons relaxing on the couch, binge watching their favorite movies, dressing up for dinner and attending Broadway shows, listening to music, and simply enjoying one another's company. She was an incredible cook and hostess, who loved to entertain family and friends regularly. Many years later, she met Marcus Franklin. As a testament to their love, the two were married on February 14, 1994. As a devout Christian, who knew no strangers, Zellee invested her life and resources to serving the Newburgh, NY community, helping anyone in need who crossed her path, and to spreading the love and gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone she met. In response to the calling God placed on her life, Zellee became an ordained minister under Pastor Herman Hubbard on June 13, 2010. She served as a faithful and dedicated member of Living in Jesus Ministry Church in Newburgh, NY. Zellee's vibrant and happy disposition touched many people. Regardless of her own pain and struggles, she always thought of others – lending kind words, offering prayers, and continuing to hold praise worship and Bible studies during her time in nursing care. She was always ready to be a blessing in someone else's life and had deepest gratitude for the love and support of the many angels God sent into her life, as well. Left to cherish her memory and legacy are her husband, Marcus Franklin; mother, Ruby Stephens; step mother, Elsa Mae Hubbard; loving daughter, TeNeathia Wesolowski-Sideris (Jeremy); best friend and confidant, Johnnie V. Herring; brothers: Herman Ray Hubbard, Michael (Teresa) Bobbitt, Matthew "Ivory" Hubbard, Matthew (Chechana) Bobbitt, Mark (Carmen) Bobbitt, and Joseph Stephens; sisters: Deborah (Robert) McMillian, DeEttra Jemerson, Marsha (Stan) Peterson, Janice White, and Bridgette (Natasha) Sisco-Norris; grandson, Roderick Sideris; a host of aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, uncles, cherished extended family and church family.
