Raines Stanley of Newburgh, NY entered eternal rest on April 20, 2021. She was 74. Maxine was born on January 25, 1947 in Pinehurst, North Carolina to the late Addie Mae and Willy Roy Raines. She is survived by her son, Mark Stanley and his wife, Sheryl of Largo, FL; her sister, Olivia Courtwright and her brother-in-law, Henry Courtwright of Newburgh, NY; her nephews and nieces: Henry Courtwright Jr., Karen Weaver (Corey), Jeffery Courtwright and Stephanie Courtwright; as well as 26 great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Stanley. Maxine retired from IBM. She enjoyed travel, food and talking with family and friends on the phone. She will be remembered for her faith, strength and positivity by her family, friends and home health aides. Ms. Stanley will have a Walk through from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 27 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 76 First Street, Newburgh, NY. Funeral Service is at 11 a.m. at the church, with Rev. Dr. Bruce Davis Sr., officiating. (Face Mask and Social Distancing REQUIRED). Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Middlehope, NY.
