Frank M. Sylvester Jr. of the town of Newburgh, retired assistant
business manager for the IBEW Local 363. Entered into eternal rest
Saturday, May 22, 2021 at his home in the town of Newburgh. He was 59
years old. The son of Betty Sylvester and of the late Frank M. Sylvester
Sr. Frank was born on September 18, 1961 in Newburgh, NY Frank was a
proud 40 year member of the IBEW and a member of Our Lady of the Lake
Chapel. Survivors include his wife Cindy Lyons-Sylvester at home; sons
Michael Sylvester and his wife Toni Sylvester of Rock Tavern and William
Sylvester of Marlboro; siblings Cheryl Napolitano of Albany, Karen Geer
and her husband James of Leesburg, FL; step-daughters Jamie Lyons, Lori
Kendall and her husband Mike both of Marlboro, NY and Christina Dayton
of Newburgh, NY; granddaughter Scarlett Rose Sylvester;
step-grandchildren Hailey, Ryan, AJ, Avery and Madelyn as well as
several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Frank always put
others first and liked to put smiles on their face by making them laugh.
His hobbies included collecting antiques, sports memorabilia, playing
softball and golf, going to the casino and hanging out with his Union
brothers and sisters. Frank was also an exceptional cook. He was also a
champion speed skater when he was young. Visitation will be held
Wednesday, May 26 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY
from 4 to 7 p.m. A Funeral Home Service will be held Thursday, May 27 at
Brooks Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m. with entombment following in Cedar
