Ralph Stevens - Class of 1977

    Ralph Whitney Stevens, Jr passed away suddenly at his home on May 22, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was 61 years old. Ralph was born on October 27, 1959 in Newburgh, NY. Ralph worked as a Machinist and a Tool and Dye Maker at Global Foundries in Fishkill, NY. Ralph is predeceased by his father Ralph Whitney Stevens Sr., mother Olive Bush Stevens, sister Margaret Stevens Muller, and mother-in-law Olive Johnson Lyons. Survivors include his wife Bernadette Lyons Stevens of Milton, NY, son Ralph Stevens III, daughter Kellie Stevens Forshey, son in law Mitchell Forshey of Glenville, NY, his beloved border collie Bailey, father-in-law John R. Lyons of Wappingers Falls, NY, several sister and brother in laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews. Ralph was a family man always putting his family first. He loved dirt track and many other types of automobile racing. For many years, on Saturday nights he could be found at Orange County Speedway watching the dirt track races with his son Ralph III. At home, he could either be found in the kitchen cooking his famous roast beef dinners or on the couch with a sketch pad working out a mathematical problem. He was a selfless man who will truly be missed by all who knew him. The Stevens family would like to thank the people who stopped to help him on Mulberry Lane in Milton, NY and the dedicated first responders who tried everything they could to help. Calling hours will be held Tuesday May 25, 2021 from 5-8pm at DiDonato funeral home in Marlboro, NY. There will be a private burial with the immediate family.
