Beverly Sarah Paonessa Richards passed away in her home on May 17, 2019 in Chandler, Arizona at the age of 71 after fighting a 10 year long battle with Leukemia. Beverly was born on May 6, 1948 in Newburgh, New York to Joseph and Agatha Paonessa. She graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1966 and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She married Larry Richards on February 26, 1967. The couple welcomed one daughter, Michele, into their home. Beverly was a master puzzler and she enjoyed travel. Beverly is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry Richards, daughter Michele (Tim) McKean, granddaughter Krista McDowell, mother Agatha Paonessa, and sister Evelyn (Lenny) Cavicchio. She is preceded in death by her father Joseph Paonessa. Beverly's life will be celebrated by family and friends and her memory will live on always. Private family services will be determined at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Lakeshore Mortuary, Mesa, Arizona.
