Edward V Mitchell, 57 of Port St. John, FL passed away suddenly on June 15, 2021. Ed was formerly from Newburgh, NY growing up in Meadow Hill, a close knit community saddened by his sudden passing. He was active in Little League, Newburgh Baseball and Football and graduated from NFA in 1982. He went on to attend OCCC. In 1994 Ed moved to Georgia and then onto Florida. He worked for TTEC in Rockledge. There he was known as the "guru", serving as both mentor and friend to many, he was always on hand to answer questions or help solve a problem. Ed loved the game of golf and made it a point to hit the course at least once a week! Ed's personality was bigger than life...he was certainly one of a kind. Those that knew him, loved hearing "Edism's" like "ridiculous" was diculous twice, or when asked if something could be done his reply was always, "Sure, this ain't Russia, is this Russia?". He was big hearted and lived the iconic phrase "would give you the shirt off his back"...but in true Ed fashion, you could always expect some light hearted ribbing as a result. Ed is survived by his mother, Sally Boyd with whom he resided in Port St. John, his father, Edward F. Mitchell and his half-sister, Lisa Mitchell of Wallkill. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial will be held at a later date to honor his memory. To plant trees in memory, please visit our Sympathy Store.
