Clarence Edward Johnson, born December 6, 1956 in Newburgh, NY, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2021 at the Valley View Center Nursing Care in Goshen, NY. Clarence was a lifetime resident of Newburgh and graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, who was mostly known affectionately as "Biscuit." Clarence was also a long-time employee of Tarkett before getting sick and having to leave his job. On April 18, 1981, Clarence became a member of the Prince Hall Free Masons Hebron Lodge 48 in Beacon, NY. On November 21, 1981, he became a Master Mason and served faithfully until 1988 when he was elected to the position of Worshipful Master for the lodge. Mr. Johnson will have a walk through from 9 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 13th at Temple of Praise Church of God, 253 South William Street, Newburgh. Homegoing Service is at 11 a.m. at the church. Reverend Luklen Simpson will officiate. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Middlehope, NY. Professional services entrusted to Rhodes Funeral Home, 259 Walsh Ave., New Windsor, NY 12553.
