    Joseph W. Marotta Sr. Age 68 of New Windsor, NY died Sunday July 18th, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Newburgh NY 12550

Joseph & Debra met when they were 16 years old working at Big V (Shop Rite) in Vails Gate NY. They were married on November 5, 1972. He was devoted to his wife and family. He started an apprenticeship as a carpenter at a young age and became a journeyman. After a few years in the construction business, he started his journey of entrepreneurship with his own construction business, King’s Brothers. Joe’s path of business over the years changed over to his current flooring store that he has operated for over 30 years and treated his customers as he would family.

He was a man that put his heart into all his work and did ordinary things in an extraordinary way. Joe had dedicated his life to his family and his love for Christ. Whether through coaching, attending sporting events and every extracurricular that his kids and grandkids did. He was his kids and grandkids greatest fan and expected nothing but their individual best. His hard work ethic, sense of humor, and moral values not only had influenced his family but every person that he met. He was the life of parties, loved to play with his grandkids, play ball in the backyard and just being together with family on Sunday afternoons. He was the rock of our family and believed the best in everyone and encouraged his kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews. He loved spending time in Lake George on his boat; made several fishing trips a year with his son Joseph Jr.

Joseph William Marotta Sr born on April 23, 1953, died unexpectedly on Sunday July 18, 2021. He was one of five children born to William and Genevieve Marotta, who predeceased him. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Debra Marotta, his 3 children: Gina Marotta, Theresa her husband Thomas B. Cassesi, Joseph Jr and his wife Heather Marotta. His grandchildren; Thomas, Gabriella & Ryan Cassesi, Alexander and Maximus Marotta. His siblings: Elizabeth and her husband Michael Tym, Thomas and his wife Wendy Marotta, Patricia and her husband Roger Arnold and William Marotta Jr. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Michael and his wife Kelly Tym, Amber Tym, Jessica and her husband Jared Everidge, Christina, Thomas Jr and Jenna Marotta, Lauren & Jeremy Decker and Charlie & Alexandra Arnold. His great-nieces and nephews: Jason Tym, Anthony, Taylor & Vincent Santoro, Marley & Ryland Everidge, Jacob, Jaedyn, James, Juliana & Jocelyn Lewis, and Kyla Marotta. - April 23, 1953 - July 18, 2021
