Jane Fredrikka Taylor Thompson, 94 of New Windsor, NY passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021. The daughter of the late Johnathan and Hilda (Berg) Taylor, she was born in Newburgh, NY on September 9, 1926. Jane worked for many years at the school tax office and later with her late husband Charles as a bookkeeper at Heights Lumber Center. She was also an avid member of the Newburgh Country Club. Jane and Charles were married for 67 years. She loved traveling with him to Florida for golfing and Atlantic City. Jane loved to cook and everyone loved her cooking. She held many picnics with her family and friends. We will all miss you, now you're with Charles. Jane is survived by her children Charles Thompson and his wife Lynn (Ambrosetti) of Newburgh and Nanci Thompson of New Windsor; grandchildren: Charlie of New Smyrna Beach Florida, Todd of Newburgh and Jessica of NYC; and nieces Patti and Karen of Newburgh, Kristina of Rosendale, Nina of Albany and Jeri of Virginia, who were all so wonderful to her. In addition to her parents, Jane is predeceased by her husband Charles Thompson; brothers Gordon, Bus, Jack and Ralph and sister Signe Vollar. A special thank you to her home health aide Doris for her care for the past 4 years. In keeping with the family's wishes, services will be private.
