Dominick Alonge - Class of 1976

    Dominick "Dom" Jacob Alonge, 62, formerly from Newburgh NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 10, 2020 at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington VA. Dominick was born September 26th, 1958 in Newburgh, NY, the son of Jacob and Ann "Nunnie" (Bernardo) Alonge. He married Tammy L. Beach who pre-deceased him on May 15, 1999. Dom was a graduate of NFA. He was a truck driver for Luna Bakery Newburgh and Carmine`s Bakery Middletown. Dom moved to Vienna VA and worked for Hostess, Entenmann's, Pepperidge Farm, and Red Bull where he later retired. Dom was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose 1896, Vienna VA Lodge. He loved his sports especially the Mets, Yankees, and Giants and he loved to play a game of basketball. He also coached basketball with Vienna Youth Incorporated and coached baseball with Vienna Little League. Pete`s hotdogs, a good meatball sandwich and pizzelles were his favorites. Dom always asked for a can of Coke. His famous phrase was "Gotta Go". Dominick is survived by his children: Nicholas and Sophia Alonge and Guy McCombs; brother: Salvatore Alonge and wife Victoria Alonge, sister, Frances and husband, Paul Catania, nieces and nephews and former spouse Bernadette Cavallo. We extend a special thanks to friend, Jimmy Thrasher. Due to public health concerns a memorial service will be held at later date by Dominick's children. - September 26, 1958 - November 10, 2020
