Elizabeth V. Melick, 59 of New Windsor, NY passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. The daughter of the late Frederick and Jean (Maier) Melick. She was born in Newburgh, NY on July 28, 1962. Elizabeth graduated from Newburgh Free Academy. She worked for over 38 years as an Administrative Officer as well as the Executive Officer at Dlsystems at West Point. Elizabeth loved gardening, Halloween, her two fur babies and most of all, spending time with her only grandson Myles Williams. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Kristen Melick of New Windsor, NY; grandchild Myles Williams; first cousins Barbara Schroeder, Susan Melick and Debbie Melick; aunts Betty Vandunk and Maryanne Melick; friends Nicole Scott, Michelle Mintz and Nancy Simmons; and her beloved dogs Buddy and Cody. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is predeceased by her sister Linda Melick. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 19 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY. A funeral home service will be held on Monday, September 20 at 10:30 a.m. with burial following in Calvary Cemetery.
