Gloria Rose Barbero Crisci, 93 of Newburgh, NY On this solemn fall day, September 23, 2021, at her home in Newburgh, NY, Gloria Rose (Barbero) Crisci passed from this life to the loving arms of her eternal Father with her loving family at her side. A forgiving, loving, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Gloria was born on September 13, 1928 in Newburgh, NY to Giacomo and Pierina (Marcelino) Barbero. The seventh of eight children, she was part of the "greatest generation." She was a quiet child and woman, humble and kind to all, and enjoyed the simple things in life. She is survived by her children: Vincent James Crisci and partner Madeline Gonzalez, Steven Dominick Crisci and fiance, Cheryl Murphy, Monica Annette Patrick and husband Ernest, Peter Harold Crisci and wife, Karen (Nelson) Crisci; grandchildren: Elisha L Colandrea, Matthew E Patrick and wife, Paula, Jeremy V Patrick and wife, Rebecca, Brittany Bruno and husband, Nick, Courtney Cunningham and husband, Sean, Mandi Crisci, Carli Crisci, Angela Crisci, and Steven Crisci Jr.; great-grandchildren: Ava Bruno, Aubree and Austin Cunningham, Victoria Rose James and Benicio Patrick, all who meant the world to her, and all of her puppies, kittens and chicken "grandchildren" too! Gloria is also survived by her sister-in-law Filomina Bernatowicz and Fil's children and families. Gloria graduated Ladycliff college and then went on for additional Master's credits with her sister-in-law, Fil, who resides in Montgomery today. She met the one who "swept her off her feet" and who gave her the "mad dash", Dominick (Dan) Crisci who studied pharmacy at Fordham University, dated for a short time, and were married on Sunday, April 1, 1956. They spent their honeymoon in Miami Florida and then started their family right away! Gloria and Dom believed in giving not receiving and were generous to their Catholic Charities and to the church and bestowed donations upon the veterans and many other organizations throughout their 51 years of marriage. Gloria continued her giving unto her death and wished for the best for everyone. She enjoyed hobbies such as floral arranging, embroidery, sewing by hand, gardening, and volunteering in the Catholic and public schools in the Newburgh area, but most of all babysitting and cooking for her family whenever she could get the chance. Gloria, mom, momma, grammie, these are our names for her but her greatest name is LOVE. She will be greatly missed but has lived a generous life without much pain, and with the joy of having her family living near her and always around visiting her. She is now with her husband Dan and deceased family above awaiting us to join her once again. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, September 27 at Brooks Funeral Home in Newburgh, NY, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 28 at Sacred Heart Church, Route 9W, Newburgh, NY. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor. Contributions may be made to our local Veteran's, Hospice of Orange County, and the Catholic Church. We thank the many hospice workers, nurses and doctors at Vassar Hospital that lovingly took care of our momma in her last moments, and for granting our wishes to continue her care at home with her family at her side.  - September 13, 1928 - September 23, 2021
